Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) Scholarship

The Singapore Scholarship for International Students named as Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is accepting applications from applicants/students with outstanding academic backgrounds. This opportunity allows all graduates interested in Science and Technology to pursue a Ph.D. on a fully-funded scholarship anywhere in the world. For overseas students, the scholarship is a fantastic opportunity. The National University of Singapore (NUS), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU), and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) collaborated to create this scholarship opportunity. Ph.D. training will be conducted in English at your selection lab at A*STAR Research Institutes, NUS, NTU, SMU, or SUTD. Students will be supervised by notable and famous world researchers in these labs. Upon successful completion, students will be given a Ph.D. degree by either NUS, NTU, SMU, or SUTD.

The Singapore scholarship for international students program is supported by the Foreign and Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) and other partner organizations. This program awards outstanding scholars from around the world with leadership potential to study for a master’s degree at any Singapore university.

You’ll work in a multi-cultural atmosphere in state-of-the-art facilities alongside outstanding and world-renowned researchers. The training for your Ph.D. will take place in English in your choice lab at A*STAR Research Institutes, NUS, NTU, SMU, or SUTD. Students studying in such laboratories will be overseen by recognized and prominent researchers. Students who successfully finish the program will get a Ph.D. from NUS, NTU, SMU, or SUTD.SINGA offers to fund Ph.D. programs in the physical sciences, engineering, and computer and information sciences.

What are the benefits of the SINGA?

Scholarship recipients get full payment for their tuition.
The fellows will get $2000 in monthly stipends.
The monthly allowance will rise to $2500 once you pass the first exam.
The travel award will be $1500.
The fellows will receive one-time settlement payments of $1,000.
Each fellow will get a settlement in compensation of about $1,000.

Who can apply for SINGA?

Open for admission to all international graduates suffering from research and strong academic performance Note: SINGA is meant mainly for overseas students studying for the first time in Singapore. Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents, and International Students studying/who have studied at Singapore higher institutions are not eligible.

A current passport-sized photo (in .jpeg or .png format)
Reports & Transcripts: English translation is required for ALL transcripts.
Academic degrees of bachelor’s or master’s Transcripts: Bachelor’s degree certificate, or if your degree certificate has not yet been granted, a letter of certification from the university on your candidature.
Letters of recommendation: 2 Reports of Recommendations (to be completed and submitted online by the referees)
